In the summers since 1999, several of the youth of Heritage Presbyterian Church, the pastor and other adult advisors have spent time at the Boardwalk Chapel working and witnessing to folks in Wildwood, New Jersey. 2004's Trip Each year I go to Boardwalk Chapel I never fail to be amazed at the joy that seems to radiate from the chapel. It is set between a pizza parlor and a body piercing shop and the contrast between these shops and the chapel cannot help but draw people in to see what it is all about! Days at BWC consist of devotionals, work projects, eating freezie pops, practicing songs and skits for the evening program, and free time (aka the beach!). Work projects range from something as simple as cleaning a bathroom to putting new shingles on the roof and scraping 4 layers of paint off windowsills. We work hard and have late nights but being a part of all the differences that make the Chapel unique from its secular surroundings is an incredibly fun and rewarding experience. Going to Boardwalk Chapel gives one an opportunity to participate in a really cool mission trip. For me personally, it gave me not only an opportunity to witness to non-believers, but also an amazing example of how we are to "shine like stars in the universe as we hold out the word of life..." (Philippians 2:15). Emma Smith
