Our May HMS Youth event was a "geocaching" excursion. No one had been geocaching before, but by the end of our GPS-enabled treasure hunt everyone was glad they did it. In about 2 hours two groups (middle and high schoolers) found 3 treasures. One was at Eva Walker Park in Warrenton, another along the Warrenton Greenway path, and the last one was hidden in Whitney State Forest. If you've never been geocaching before, it's a great opportunity for adventure, building friendship, and getting outside. Oh, and no one got poison ivy! That makes it a successful day. Thanks to all who came out to drive the kids around town in search of hidden treasure.
